A new series of Stowa Flieger watches has been introduced, featuring vintage-looking dials with "Old Radium" lume. Previously only available on bronze editions, this style is now offered on all steel models as well. The Flieger range, known for its distinctive utilitarian design and legible dial, originated in the 1940s to equip German Luftwaffe pilots and continues to be produced by several watch brands.
The Stowa Flieger Vintage series combines tradition and modernity, delivering modern watches with a retro style. The watches maintain the functional and utilitarian style of the Classic Flieger series, with brushed steel cases, matte black dials, and blue central hands. However, the Vintage series adds vintage charm with "Old Radium" color on the dial's tracks and printings, as well as Super-LumiNova coating. This coating has an orange shade in daylight and provides a yellow-green afterglow.
The Flieger Vintage collection offers a wide range of customization options, including different displays, logos, dial styles, and straps. There are six different base models to choose from, with automatic or hand-wound movements and various case sizes. The watches can also be customized with or without a date window, and the strap options include a classic aviator-style strap with rivets or a Milanese steel bracelet.
The Flieger Vintage watches are now available for purchase on Stowa's website, with prices ranging from EUR 750 to EUR 1,450, depending on the model and customization options. The collection comprises both classic and sportier models, catering to different preferences.
