The Massandra Palace in Crimea has restored its antique clocks according to the drawings of architect Maximilian Mesmacher. The clocks now have a "living voice" with the sound of Yaroslavl bells, as reported by the director of the Alupka Palace and Park Museum-Preserve, Alexander Balinchenko.
Balinchenko also mentioned that the clocks themselves were made at the Friedrich Winter factory. "The palace has gained a voice. Our employees worked at the Academy of Arts Museum. They found sculptures' descriptions in the archives, including a building that was planned to be constructed. Among them is the dial created by Maximilian Mesmacher - Friedrich Winter's clocks," he said.
