I’ve had the pleasure of wearing the Christopher Ward C1 Bel Canto for the past year and a half. It's a French independent brand that offers vintage inspired watches made in France.
Louis Erard is known for their regulators and collaborations. With the new Louis Erard 2300 Sport Chronograph, the brand aims to remind us of their other watchmaking abilities. This limited edition release features three different versions, each with a distinctive 1970s racing dial design.
The 2300 Sport Chronograph is powered by a Valjoux 7750 movement and is housed in a well-finished Grade 5 Titanium case. It has a large size, measuring 44mm across and 15mm thick. The dial layout follows the classic 6-9-12 arrangement and includes a day and date display. However, what sets this watch apart is its emphasis on the chronograph function.
The dial design of the 2300 Sport Chronograph is reminiscent of Louis Erard's regulators. It features a vertically stacked layout that puts the chronograph front and center. There are three options available, with black, blue, and green dials, each offering a different character. The orange-accented "Khaki" green option is particularly striking. The watches come on color-matched FKM rubber straps with titanium buckles.
The limited edition Louis Erard 2300 Sport Chronograph is priced at CHF 3,333 and is now available for order.
