Racing green has always been a legendary color in the world of motorsport. In the early days of car racing, each driver competed with a livery representing their country, with British racing green being one of the most iconic. This color now adorns the TAG Heuer Monaco, one of the brand's most emblematic watches associated with racing and motorsport.
Born in 1969, the Monaco has always been synonymous with innovation and style. The new Monaco Chronograph Racing Green edition retains the classic look and proportions of the historic model, with a square case and a bevelled and domed sapphire crystal. However, it has been modernized with a contemporary grade 2 titanium case, giving it a more subdued and sophisticated appearance.
The main highlight of the Monaco Chronograph Racing Green is its dial. Combining a sunray-brushed silver base with racing green sub-dials and bright yellow accents, it exudes a sporty and vibrant vibe. The dial also features horizontal applied markers and small luminous dots on the minute track.
The titanium case of the Monaco Chronograph Racing Green not only enhances its aesthetic appeal but also provides a more balanced and comfortable feel on the wrist. It houses the Calibre 11 movement, an automatic Sellita SW300 with a Dubois-Depraz chronograph module. While it may not be an in-house movement, it allows for the iconic 9 o'clock crown position and has a slightly thinner profile compared to the Heuer 02 movement.
The TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Racing Green is a limited edition release, with only 1,000 pieces available. It comes with a racing green strap, featuring a classic perforated style, and a titanium folding clasp with the historic Heuer logo.
